Boat trip to the seals and shellbank with the Ms Zeehond

A trip with MS Zeehond guarantees a well-maintained, pleasant cruise of approximately 2.5 hours on the Wadden Sea, culminating in a look at the nature reserve where the seals reside and a visit to the Shell Bank. Depending on the tide, at some point the bow will hit the steep side of the sandbank. A hydraulic walkway is unfolded from the foredeck so that those who wish can disembark for 20-25 minutes to take a walk on the then dry seabed. You can take the Japanese oysters, clams and mussels with you. Are you bringing your own bag? In terms of footwear, it is nice if you put on or take shoes/sandals with thick soles because of the risk of travel. the sometimes very sharp shells. This tour goes through various channels that are all formed by the natural flow of the water caused by ebb and flow and meander in an erratic way between the many sandbanks. On the outward journey, Captain Mario tells a lot about Ameland, the special nature, the seals and their habitat. Once you have arrived at the westernmost point of Ameland, you will sail along the beach of Hollum and you will have a unique view from the sea of the beach, the dunes and the village.
