Wadexcursie Hollum
The mudflat excursions of the Ameland Nature Center; that is to enjoy, experience and discover. Anyone who is visiting Ameland should set foot in the Wadden Sea at some point. It's a unique and fascinating nature reserve that has UNESCO World Heritage status for good reason. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will discover all the wonders that the Wadden area has to offer. At the Wadden Sea near Hollum you get an introduction to the salt marsh, shell banks, sandbanks and a diverse range of crustaceans. The Wad near Hollum is very suitable for a complete tour through several biotopes and to view a shipwreck! This tour is given in Dutch. Pets are not allowed on this tour! Groups (from 10 people) Groups can book the above activity with their own guide. For this you can contact the Nature Center.

Departure point is at the end of Pietje Miedeweg near Hollum on the dike.
Important to know
Due to sharp stones and shells, it is mandatory to wear boots or closed shoes (e.g. old sneakers) during Wading excursions. Participation with water shoes, slippers, sandals or other open or fabric footwear is not permitted. If you do not wear the correct shoes/boots you will not be able to participate.
