Beach Ride with the Strandjutter
An adventurous ride on the beach to the easternmost point of Ameland. Feel the quitness on the Hôn, wave to the neighboring island of Schiermonnikoog or go looking for shells together. Sometimes there is a seal relaxing on the sandbank in the sea, so bring your camera or binoculars. The beach ride is fun for young and old!

Location
You can get on the beach at Ballum, Nes or Buren at the beach pavilions Strandpaviljoen Ballum, Sjoerd (Nes) (+20 min) and 't Strandhuys (Buren) (+30 min). You can store bicycles at the beach crossings. Parking is possible in the parking lot at the bottom of the beach crossing (Ballum), the parking lot behind Ameland State (Nes) or opposite Strandhotel Buren aan Zee (Buren).
Important to know
Dogs are not allowed on a ride with the Strandjutter. The boarding points are beach pavilion Ballum, beach pavilion Nes and beach pavilion Buren. The departure time is calculated from beach pavilion Ballum, in Nes 20 minutes later and the departure time from Buren is 30 minutes later. Boarding is on the beach!
