Strandexpress
With a comfortable beach bus over the beach to nature reserve "'t Oerd" and "De Hôn". During the beach ride you can enjoy the sea, the beach and the dunes. The first stop is at "'t Oerd". After a short walk, the Amelander guide will explain this unique area. An area that twenty years ago still consisted of a bare sandy plain with primary dunes, but has become overgrown after the construction of a drift dike. The salt marsh is intersected by rifts that enter the area from the Wadden Sea. The Strandexpress then drives to the easternmost point, the Hôn. Here you can get off to look for shells or enjoy the view. Are you less agile and would you like to ride with the Strandexpress? Please report this when booking. The Strandexpress is accessible via a staircase with a handrail. The Strandexpress can also be booked privately for groups. NB! The tour of July 1 only departs from Buren!

You can board on the beach at Nes or Buren near the beach pavilions Sjoerd (Nes) and 't Strandhuys (Buren). You can store your bicycles at the bicycle racks at the beach crossings. You can park your car at the parking lot behind Ameland State (Nes) or to the right of Strandhotel Buren aan Zee (Buren).
Important to know
The starting point of the ride is on the beach at Nes. About ten minutes later the Strandexpress arrives at Buren, where you can also get on.
