Eendenkooi excursie
The Kooiplaats is located east of Buren. This place is named after the Eendenkooi and the Kooihuis in this area. Weekly guided tours are provided in this beautiful, almost mystical area by the nature guides of the Ameland Nature Center. The tours are given on Tuesdays and Thursdays and last approximately one hour. Join us on a journey of discovery through this ancient Nassau cage. The duck decoy has been restored and is back in its former state. Although ducks are no longer caught for consumption as was the case in the past, the stories and anecdotes that you are told during the tour appeal to the visitor's imagination and bring back the times.
