Wadden Sea Day

On Saturday, June 27, we celebrate the anniversary of the Wadden Sea. In 2026, it will be seventeen years since UNESCO declared the Wadden area a World Heritage Site. Celebrate this together with Visit Wadden and the Wadden Association during a delicious breakfast at a truly special location: the dike near Buren on Ameland. With a view over the mudflats, you will enjoy local products. A guide from the Wadden Association will take you on a journey through the story of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. Important to know

Breakfast starts at 8:30 AM and lasts until 10:30 AM at the latest. After breakfast, there is an opportunity to explore the area accompanied by the guide. Please note! Check the weather forecast in advance and wear sufficient (warm) clothing.

The Wadden Sea has its birthday on Saturday, June 29! In 2024 it will be fifteen years ago that UNESCO declared our beautiful area a World Heritage Site. Celebrate this with us during a delicious breakfast in a very special place: the dike. Looking out over the mudflats, you can enjoy a table full of local products.
