On Saturday 28 June, the Wadden Sea celebrates its birthday! In 2025, it will be sixteen years since UNESCO declared our area a World Heritage Site. Celebrate this with us during a delicious breakfast in a very special place: the dike. Overlooking the mudflats near Buren, you can enjoy a table full of local products. A guide from the Waddenvereniging will take you on a journey through the Wadden Sea World Heritage. Will you celebrate with us?

End of Reeweg Buren, on top of the dike.
Important to know
Breakfast starts at 8:00 am and lasts until 10:00 am. After breakfast, anyone who wishes can cross the dike with a Wad guide and we will show you how special the Wadden nature is that asks for our protection. This walk takes about an hour. Note: Put on suitable clothing and boots or (old) closed shoes.
