100% SEALS It is 100% certain that you will see seals during a trip with the ROBBENBOOT. The seal bank is located in the Blauwe Balg area between Ameland and Terschelling. Seals can always be seen at high and low tide. At high tide you can see the animals fishing and sometimes they come up with a fish in their mouth. At low tide they rest and sunbathe en masse on the sandbank. Only the young ones splash and then play in the water. Don't forget your camera, because these are truly special moments! In that short period of time, the ROBBENBOOT moors on the shell bank. Via the special, manoeuvrable walking bridge you almost always arrive dry on the shell bank. It is wise to put on water shoes, old sneakers or boots. On the dry sandbank you can experience what it is like to walk on the bottom of the Wadden Sea and collect shells and oysters or simply enjoy the silence of the world around you. This is really quite an experience, walking on the bottom of the sea while everything around you continues!! Robbenboot ms Ameland was specially designed for the Wadden Sea. This means that the stable ship can sail in channels at low tide, which bring you close to the seals and wading birds. The boat has a top deck, with a magnificent view over the sea and island.
