Oostenwind is a spacious 14-person holiday home suitable for everyone, with or without disabilities. The beach is about 25 minutes' walk away. The holiday home has ample parking space for cars and play facilities for children. You can even bring your own horse. The layout Ground floor (+/- 184 m²): living room with open kitchen, 4 double bedrooms, hall, bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, separate shower and a separate toilet. First floor: hall, 2 triple bedrooms, bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, laundry room with washing machine and dryer and separate toilet.

De Zilte Wind
Ameland for everyone! Our philosophy. Ameland is a beautiful island with so much to enjoy; its beautiful nature, many cycling routes, beautiful beach and unique attractions such as the horse lifeboat. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy this Wadden diamond. All people, with or without a disability. That is why we started in 2011 with the construction of our “Zilte Wind”, a residence where everyone can enjoy his or her holiday without hindrance. Whether with a small or large group, a family, an entire family, or even a residential form. Everything in a cozy, homely, nostalgic farm atmosphere. From May 2012 we have been able to greet our first guests. De Zilte Wind is located on an old farmyard in the village Ballum on Ameland. Privately located between the trees, yet in the middle of the village.

Special about this accommodation
The Zilte wind is adapted for disabled people: there are wide doors, no thresholds. The kitchen is electrically adjustable in height. There are some high / low beds available. The sanitary facilities on the ground floor are according to MiVa standards. The bath is suitable for a hoist. Special aids are available on request. The house is decorated in a cozy, nostalgic farmer's atmosphere. There is underfloor heating on the ground floor. Heating and hot water using solar energy and everything on green electricity. There is a spacious terrace.
Important to know
Holiday home Oostenwind can be rented directly with the Westenwind and connected to each other via a sliding wall, so that you can also stay here with a larger group. Only after consultation a maximum of 1 dog is allowed. Bed linen is mandatory for rent at this accommodation. A minimum of 10 adults per night is charged. With a stay of more than 10 adults, children up to 12 years receive a discount of € 10.25 per night. If you are entitled to this, you can indicate this at the VVV.

Tips for your stay
Whether you come to Ameland for a weekend or long holiday, as soon as you get on the ferry you will immediately experience the holiday feeling. Enjoy cycling, walking, the beautiful nature, the historic villages, eating, drinking and of course the beautiful beach. Ameland is the ideal island for both young and old!
