Location
Loods 326 is located at Roosdunen campsite, near Ballum. This gives you an unobstructed view over the dunes and the airport of Ameland, where many small planes take off and land, especially in summer. The beautiful Ameland dune landscape is less than a hundred meters from your caravan. And through these dunes you can walk to the white sandy beach, which is about 500 meters away. At the dune entrance is also one of the most cozy beach bars in Ameland. The village of Ballum is also within walking distance: about 800 meters from your chalet, only in a southerly direction. Time seems to have stood still in Ballum, with the old commander's houses, seventeenth century facades and streets and Brinken surrounded by huge trees. The village has two good restaurants and intimate terraces. And who doesn't know the famous Hotel Nobel, with their homemade bitter Nobeltje? Nobel you must have tasted at least once! For those who want to continue: Ameland has three villages in addition to Ballum, each with their own character. The Oerd protected nature reserve is located on the east side of the island, with unique flora and fauna. For bad weather there are countless bars and restaurants, (nature) museums, etc. In short: too many to mention and something for everyone! The Roosdunen campsite is a pleasant family campsite with numerous facilities. De Wijde Blik is the restaurant and bar of the campsite, less than two hundred meters away. A good menu, a nice terrace and a lot of fun is an asset here! In the same building there is a small but well-stocked shop for all your daily necessities. And freshly baked bread rolls every morning!
